Madison FUMC Prime Timers

Just the Right Ministry for the Young at Heart

Whether you are working or or disabled...married or single, Prime-Timers is an opportunity for anyone 55 years of age and older to come to Madison FUMC and be strengthened and encouraged in their walk with God. Prime Timers offers an atmosphere of support and camaraderie, an opportunity for ministry, and a place of spiritual encouragement and fellowship for the young at heart in our church family.

Prime Timers meet on the fourth Thursday of each month in the Fellowship Hall for lunch, fellowship and an interesting program. The membership is made up of Methodists, Baptists, Presbyterians, and others from the community. Many trips are taken through out the year including lunches at special restaurants, short day trips, as well as an annual long trip. Our long trip in 2010 was to San Antonia, Texas.  Time spent on these travels, whether near or far, contribute to relationships that last a lifetime.  Pictured is a group that was on a short trip to the circus at Heritage Park in Farmington, GA last fall.  Our Valentine's luncheon was at the Blue Willow Inn in Social Circle, and 54 members enjoyed good food and fellowship.  Below is a group picture of a Day Trip to Babyland General in Cleveland, Georgia on November 3, 2011 and they enjoyed lunch at Unicoi State Park in Helen, GA
