Madison FUMC Sunday School Program

Sunday School - 10:00 a.m.

sunday schoolJust the Right Thing for Group Study and Fellowship

We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 1st John 1:3-4

Recognizing that we are all on a continuing spiritual journey, we at Madison First believe that Christian education is extremely important for people of all ages. Each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m., we offer a variety of Sunday school classes for children and adults. Sunday school is a time to explore God’s Word, to ask questions, to seek understanding, to share our knowledge with others and to strengthen our faith through continuing educational growth.

Sunday School is also a time to build meaningful relationships with other believers – a Sunday School class can become your spiritual support group – a family within God’s family. It is an excellent way to learn more about our church and become more intimately involved. We invite anyone looking for a place in the church to visit our Sunday School classes as we come together in Christian fellowship, learning, sharing and loving each other.
This Sunday morning is “just the right time for you” to become a part of the small, intimate groups known as Sunday School!

Madison 101

An ALL NEW, ten week educational ministry, “just right for new members”

New member? Visitor interested in learning more about Madison First UMC? Maybe you are just a member who feels like you never really got taught what you needed in order to be fully informed, fully aware, or fully informed about the church.

If so, then Madison 101 is “just the right thing at just the right time for you!” Enroll in this class that will meet during the Sunday School hour, and you will learn a little church history, more about our United Methodist denomination, lots about Madison First (like meeting the staff, times and places for particular meetings, missions and ministries, who to contact for certain inquiries), and more. This class, like most of our ministries, is led by some of our most devoted laity, with visits and teaching from our pastor mixed in from time to time.

Madison 101 will loop consistently throughout the year. As soon as the series is complete it will begin all over again. That way, you can begin at any time and not miss any of the lessons. For example, if you start attending at lesson six you can catch the first five lessons on the next loop! Then you can choose a Sunday School class to attend and keep up the blessings! You are always welcome!
